News 2026

29th September 2026

I know . . . I know . . . it's been so long since I've posted any news here but, unfortunately, the gramophones have had to take a back seat for a little while as other things become a priority - not least of which is recovering from a broken back after a cycling accident. The machines are still getting a bit of use when time allows but there's definitely some  maintenance required on a couple of them. Odd piles of 78 records still magically appear from time to time so they're always fun to sort through, and I still keep an eye on the online auction sites for needle tins that catch my interest. Hopefully more updates to come in the future.

Well, judging by weather today, spring is definitely on its way which means making time for some routine maintenance on some of the collection. There are definitely a couple of machines which haven't been run for longer than is good for them. It's also a good chance for a spring clean so I can throw the windows open and have a tidy up!

One way or another it's been a busy few months with other areas of life taking precedence so very little has happened as for as gramophones are concerned. No new additions to the collection but I'm still buying (or acquiring) records now and then. Other than that, nothing to report. I'll look forward to having some more interesting news in a future update.
