I've just managed to acquire a 1954 Decca Model 66 in Cream/Blue. It will need a good clean and a thorough mechanical service but, with its Meltrope style (Decca branded) sound-box, it should be a nice machine. I'll post updates as the restoration progresses.

Ok, if I'm honest, it's taken about 6 months longer than it should've done , but I've finally managed to add a video of the HMV model 145, which is the most recent addition to my collection. Here's a clip of it playing a 1936 recording by "Fats" Waller and His Rhythm.

HAPPY NEW YEAR from the Gramophone Collector. I'm sorry to say that not much has happened lately, mainly due to time limitations and other commitments. I still haven't uploaded a video of the restored HMV Model 145, which is frustrating but, part of the problem lies with my main computer having died last year which means, although it's now been replaced, I no longer have any decent video and sound editing software. I'm sure I'll be able to rectify this at some point in the not-too-distant future. I had an enjoyable playing session recently with my HMV model 94 playing through a selection of Bob Crosby records which I'd bought a few years ago as a job lot.
